Applications are invited for this one year full-time Special Project as a professional , starting July 1, 2024. The successful candidate will be a member of the Human Resources Department at the Riverside School Board offices, located at 7525 chemin Chambly, St-Hubert, J3Y 0N7 and will report to the Director of Human Resources.

NATURE OF WORK :

The position of administration officer encompasses, in particular, participation in the preparation, update and application of administrative policies, procedures and processes in Human Resources;

it also encompasses the supervision and coordination of the work of support staff associated with his or her sector of activity and the study and analysis of various files in order to make and follow up recommendations.

SOME CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES

The administration officer will be working closely with the Assistant Director of Human Resources and an Administration Technician on the Teacher and Professional dossiers.

He or she develops, drafts, plans, applies, oversees and updates the administrative regulations, directives, procedures and processes related to the implementation of activities related to the management of Human Resources.

He or she prepares and provides training to staff on use of software.

He or she identifies needs in human and material resources in his or her sector of activity and carries out the necessary measures to hire or acquire the resources.

He or she recommends the standards and procedures appropriate to the needs identified and evaluates the results.

He or she provides advice and assistance to management staff, works with professionals, teachers and support staff and ensures compliance with the policies and regulations in effect.

He or she studies and analyzes files, contracts, agreements and other documents; gives advice and makes recommendations on the necessary corrections and updates.

He or she performs any additional tasks related as assigned to the role.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty, notably :

  • human resources
  • administration;

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be fluent in English and French, both in oral and written.
  • Must have knowledge of the Collective Agreements.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Department.

ANNUAL SALARY :

In accordance with the Professionals’ Agreement : $47,886.00 to $79,426.00 per 35-hour week, according to qualifications and experience.
